Mix, serve and store in one bowl
Every bowl in our sets has its own polypropylene lid with two inner clips. That turns a mixing bowl into a storage box: toss a salad, press the lid on and it goes into the fridge, or let bread dough rise overnight with the lid holding the moisture in. Take the lid off before the oven or the microwave.
USDA FSIS suggests dividing large amounts of leftovers into shallow containers, and the open shape of a bowl cools faster than a deep pot.
Choosing a set
The three-bowl set with a 4.5 quart bowl is the one for big salads and bread dough. The five-bowl set starts at 0.2 quart, small enough for chopped herbs or a single dressing. All the sets nest into one stack, so even five bowls take the shelf space of one.
