About the Luvan Glass Measuring Cup
Our Glass Measuring Cup comes in three sizes: 2 cups (18 oz), 4 cups (34 oz) and 6 cups (50 oz). Each is borosilicate glass with three printed scales, cups, ounces and milliliters, so a recipe in any of them reads straight off the side. The V spout is shaped for a slow pour, and the handle is a separate insulated piece that stays cooler than the glass. The cup goes in the microwave, the fridge and a preheated oven, and big enough sizes double as a mixing bowl for pancake batter or a vinaigrette.
In the measuring cups section you will find it next to the 1 Gallon Measuring Pitcher, both part of the Luvan collection.
Key features
- Three scales: Cups, ounces and milliliters printed on the glass, so no conversion in your head.
- Three sizes: 2 cup (18 oz), 4 cup (34 oz) and 6 cup (50 oz).
- Borosilicate glass: Goes in the microwave, the fridge and a preheated oven.
- V spout: A pointed spout for a controlled pour into a pan or a bottle.
- Insulated handle: The handle is its own piece, so it stays comfortable when the glass is warm.
How to use it
- 1
Set the cup on the counter and pour to the line you need.
- 2
Bend down and read the line at eye level: from above, liquid looks higher than it is.
- 3
Warm milk or butter in the microwave in the same cup, then pour from the spout.
- 4
Wash by hand or in the dishwasher with a mild detergent. Strong acid or alkaline cleaners dull the glass.
Where it fits
Measuring water, milk and stock for a recipe, warming butter and milk in the microwave, whisking eggs or batter, and pouring sauce or dressing at the table. The 2 cup fits a crowded drawer. The 6 cup mixes a whole batch of pancakes.
